Stick to imagevenue, imageshack seems to block everyone and their mother anyway.

Let's say i found a huge pile of named pics but they are allmost everone on IS.
I wrote a small program to convert them to IV but it still is a lot of work (in this case WAiting) and i dont like to wait. I have a problem with that here 2

image shack is unreliable because as soon as you start to use too much resources, they block you. then you are left with a forum full of broken images.

personally, i hate all the free image hosts. most of them are terrible. but in my experience, the most reliable one is www.imagevenue.com . they don't delete your images and they don't have too many ads or popups.

OK, i don't want to fight over this but IV DOES delete pictures after 2 or more years.
I found a lot of fora's filled with GOOD pictures but they were posted in 2003 and 2004 and no-one had clicked them after. So they are deleted.
I have now found a forum that is a challenge (bellazon.com)
They use "Attached Images" and IS and IV and much more
So , i find it a challenge to fully automate the download of all the pics (espesially the "attached" ones), but for converting IS to IV is a lot of work extra

well 2 years is a reasonable amount of time at least. compared to other sites that might not last 2 weeks.

obviously the best thing to do is have your own hosting. i realize not everyone does, but its really the only foolproof way. i don't use the free hosts, because i have my own server.
