Today I had to put my Bulldog Tiger To sleep. It was the hardest decision I ever made. I noticed early this morning that he was having trouble sitting up, and when I tried to get him to walk downstairs he couldn't walk. I thought that was strange because yesterday he was running around the house.

I took him to the Vet as soon as they opened and left him there. About 1:30 They gave me the call with very bad news. His heart had grown about 4 times than what it should have been wich also made his liver Increase in size. The Vet said we could put him on medication for his heart but he would be lucky if he lived two months. If I didn't he could go anyday.

I got to say my goodbyes to him wich I thought was going to be tougher than making the decision. I was actually very calm during and confident I made the right decision. Even though I know I made the right choice I feel bad for making it.

I'm going to miss him alot but I know he won't be suffering anymore.

sorry man, that sucks. it happened to me too. when i was a kid we had a dog and he got really sick and had to do it. you can imagine how sad i was at the time, since i didn't even understand what was going on. thats life i guess.

the "not suffering anymore" is the key to remember

I found out early this morning that Tigers brother Presley died of kidney failure. He died on his way to Kansas to have surgery. I had Presley for the first two years of his life while my uncle was on the road working. This weekend really sucks, both of my dogs died within a day of each other. We didn't just lose pets we lost members of our family.

well in a way i would consider it a good thing that it happened at the same time, because then you only have to be sad once, instead of twice at separate times. maybe thats just me

My deepest sympathies man. I have a dog the same age and she's like our child. I can't even imagine what it would be like to lose her.
